The face of the Axis
Nexus of Evil? December 21, 2008

Don’t be confused by the
official photo on the left of this man; in that picture you see the face
of a kindly, gentle appearing, and smiling grandfather type. I would
suggest that the photo appearing on the right more accurately portrays
the person is represents.
Certainly the pictures
are recognizable as images of the 46th
Vice President, Richard B. Cheney aka Dick Cheney. I chose the
starboard photo because it shows a face that could be conveying a countenance
surely much more sinister than that of someone’s grandpa and again in my
opinion it is a more accurate portrait of the man.
This photograph coupled
with the sinister nature of his activities, especially those during his
tenure as Vice President, reveals a scornful, menacing, and malevolent
personality. If he was unknown to us someone could suggest that it
is easily the facial expression of a wicked, sinful and malicious criminal,
perhaps even a serial killer.
Dick Cheney to me is the
walking personification of the axiom, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute
power corrupts absolutely” as expressed by Lord
Acton in a letter written in 1887. Cheney has gathered
unto himself newly stated functionalities of his office, none of which
are outlined in the U.S. Constitution.
Can you believe that it
is his premise that because the Vice President’s office and duties are
not specifically outlined in the Constitution that it allows the incumbent
individual to chart their own course and outside the Executive Branch of
our government?
As a case in point several
news media organizations have openly and loudly expressed the concern that
Cheney has created a "fourth branch of government" that is not subject
to any laws. Recently a lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court
for the District of Columbia, asking the court to declare that Cheney's
vice-presidential records are covered by the Presidential Records Act of
1978 and cannot be destroyed, taken or withheld from the public without
proper review.
The George W. Bush presidential
years have been said to be those of an “imperial presidency”; in other
words the rule by a monarch that grants itself powers by decree as the
absolute authority. This is easily understandable when illuminated
in the light of the many acts of constitutional defiance by Dick Cheney.
I was shocked when I listened
to a recent interview of Cheney where he essentially admitted that he gave
“GITMO”
the approval to move forward with the “waterboarding”
of prisoners. I am confused by the fact that there is so little public
outcry against this demonic public official especially since our country
was a principle signer of the Geneva Convention.
IMHO* soon after January
21st, 2009, our government should move forward on charges against Cheney,
Bush,
and as many others as indicated. Charges should start with war crimes
and then be expanded to violations of the Constitution. The example
simply must be made that every citizen, regardless of power or position
must comply with the source document for our freedom.
Can we agree with the
premise of this blog entry that the face posted above represents a connection
to evil by that individual and his associates?
*In my humble opinion”
By the way I forgot to
mention that I would be willing to bet that Cheney has made all the decisions
for Bushie. If you think about it we never have really seen pictures
of the President's back; maybe that way we can't see where Cheney sticks
his hand in order to operate his puppet!
